The Role of Emotion in the Study of Morality

Jean Decety, SPI researcher, finds that emotion, rather than deliberate reasoning, compromises a major component and source of morality. How individuals evaluate harmful actions is an important area of study that can help us to learn more about morality and empathy in all areas of life. The first study of its kind, featured in the Journal of Neurophysiology.
