John List Advocates Experiments in Economics

John List discussed the importance of the experimental methods and behavioral economics at the Marburg Memorial Lecture at Marquette University. Experimental economics can be used to understand many world problems, including discrimination in the marketplace and the racial achievement gap in schooling and income. At SPI, the focus is on using experimental methods to explore the market for philanthropic giving.
